JOURNEY WITH MEDITATION

I have spent the last 15 years evolving and working on myself, creating healthy relationships and really evaluating the things in my life that are nourishing and those that are no longer relevant to my evolution and happiness.

I have tried a bit of everything during this time; journey work, CBT, kinesiology, acupuncture, massage, facials, Bikram yoga, flow yoga, HIT training, therapy, Tony Robbins UPW, breath meditation, diving into creative pursuits like acting on stage and the list goes on. All of these things were beneficial, they all open you up, but they required a practitioner or that controlled environment to do it.

While working in at Macquarie, my boss said, “for Christmas I bought you a course to learn Vedic Meditation, I hope this is ok!” I was loving that gift.

From the first time I tried it I knew this was different to all the other things I had done. That gift changed everything for me.

 This small change of witnessing allowed my interaction with everyone and everything to change. Most importantly how I saw myself.

I started to see things with more clarity, I felt like my foundation was solid and what I looked like or how I came across, what I had, what I achieved or what held me back from achieving, wasn’t all of me anymore. I was so much more than that, I felt fearless, content, happy and connected.

I became clear on what was holding me back and with such clarity and fearlessness, what I wanted to do.

Sitting to meditate twice a day became not negotiable for me. I could see the tangible results. What had taken me decades to realise, I was getting results within a few weeks.

That gift of learning Vedic Meditation changed everything. Now I wanted to share this gift and knowledge with others.

MEDITATION & RELATIONSHIPS

I did the learn to meditate course. I meditated twice a day for the first week, I meditated twice a day for the second week and then the third week, you guessed it, twice a day. After the third week I went to do a drop-in group meditation, just to see the experiences others were having. This was cool! People were asking interesting questions on fear, trust, relationships. I was not only feeling different from my practice, my thoughts and behaviours were also naturally changing. Profoundly, I noticed my relationship towards fear, friendships, work colleagues, time and stress were all evolving.

I was starting to witness myself in these situations and not react the same. Not because of will power or because I was practising some new way, but it was naturally happening. I wasn’t behaving from my busy intellect, I started to feel different, more connected to a solid foundation of myself. I no longer was feeling controlled by what people said or what was happening to me. I actually felt like everything was happening for me.

 MY VALUES

NATURE

Cultivate an inner state that allows us to see and surround ourselves around those who want to grow and progress within themselves. It is our essential nature to experience joy and we all want to have stability, security and fulfilment, which is all found naturally within ourselves. This technique shows us how to achieve this.

NURTURE

Once you have learnt Vedic Meditation, I am available to you to help nurture your practise. I do that by offering support at weekly group meditations with Q&A, wisdom talks from the Vedic tradition, advanced techniques and private mentoring sessions.

EVOLVE

Evolution is happening and we want to move with it, not resist it. Growth and evolution is the creative force of nature, this allows us to live a life that is meaningful, fulfilled and full of love, which will create joy within ourselves.
